FACT Annual Ball – A Night of Celebration to Remember!
As we approach the end of 2023 (can you believe how swiftly it’s flown by?), we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journeys we’ve been part of through our Spotlight Series this year. Each event, each story shared, has added a special glow to our year, and we’re grateful to have been part of every moment.
In this November’s Spotlight, we shine a light on the extraordinary organisation, ‘FACT. (Fighting All Cancers Together) ‘ Their mission is nothing short of incredible—providing accessible and speedy services to those battling cancer, survivors, and their loved ones. Especially during times when quick and easy support is essential. FACT creates opportunities for connection, community-building, and social support. They work tirelessly to educate both adults and children, raising awareness about cancer-related and healthy living issues.
Now, let’s transport ourselves to a magical night that unfolded on Saturday, October 14th, at The Grand Hotel Gosforth. FACT, in all its glory, marked a remarkable 15 years of unwavering support for those affected by cancer in the North East with their Annual Ball. Starting at 6pm, the evening transformed into an unforgettable experience, filled with delicious food, infectious fun, and dancing that carried on into the night.
Picture this: The celebration commenced with a delightful drinks reception, followed by a sumptuous 4-course meal that tantalised the taste buds. The atmosphere was charged with heartfelt speeches, reflecting on FACT’s triumphs and challenges from the past year. And oh, the night came alive with the enchanting tunes of a live band and the energetic beats of a lively disco.

Q: Tell us about your fantastic event – FACT Annual Ball 2023.
Our annual ball, hosting around 300 attendees, brings together business contacts and ardent supporters of FACT (Fighting All Cancers Together), a dedicated cancer support charity. The event serves as a platform to spotlight the charity’s accomplishments, future endeavours, and acts as our primary fundraising initiative. This year, the celebration marked our 15th birthday, adding an extra layer of significance to the occasion.

Q: Gauging Event Triumph: What benchmarks do you use to gauge the success of the FACT Annual Ball?
For us, success means witnessing our attendees thoroughly enjoy the evening, ensuring they eagerly return year after year. Fundraising plays a pivotal role, with active participation in engaging activities such as auctions, an expansive tombola, and an exciting raffle.
Q: How did the Partnership with Hotline come about?
Our journey with Hotline began with thorough research into various products. A subsequent phone call allowed us to delve into the details of our charity and event, and it quickly became evident that Hotline’s tote bags perfectly aligned with our vision.
