Golden Moments: Unveiling the Lucy Rayner Foundation’s Gala Event and Impactful Collaborations 

Welcome back to our super exciting ‘Spotlight on’ Blog series! This time, we’re taking a deep dive into the world of promotional products and how companies and charities use them to create some serious buzz around their campaigns. And guess what? This month, we’ve partnered up with one of our all-time favourite charities, the Lucy Rayner Foundation. These guys are just incredible! They’re all about supporting and raising awareness for mental health, especially among young adults, which is so crucial in today’s world.  

Last month, we were right there with them at the ‘Run Reigate‘ event, and it was an absolute blast! The Lucy Rayner Foundation managed to raise an astonishing £9,429.18! On the 14th of October, they threw a spectacular Charity ball at the Epsom Racecourse, and let me tell you, it was all about the glitz and glam with a ‘Going for Gold’ Themed Gala dinner. We caught up with Emma Rayner from the Lucy Rayner foundation and asked her some key questions about this fabulous event: 

Q: Please tell us the story behind your event?  

Well, each year, we host our spectacular Gala Dinner, marking it as our grand finale and the most crucial event of the year. It’s our chance to raise as much funding as we can to ensure our services can continue into the next year. The Gala Dinner serves as a heartfelt invitation to gather all our amazing supporters under one roof. We start the evening by listening to the inspiring words from the Rayner Family and a special guest speaker, and then we simply celebrate the successes of our charity throughout the rest of the night with an incredible live band and DJ. 

Q: So, what were you hoping to achieve with this event? 

Our primary goal and biggest aspirations for the Lucy Rayner Foundation’s Gala Event has always been to rally as much support as possible. Whether it’s through generous financial donations, commitments to volunteer, pledges to fundraise for us, or even contributions like donating raffle prizes for the upcoming year of operations. 

Q: How do you determine the success of your event? 

We base our assessment on the total funds raised during the evening and the level of engagement from individuals who express their commitment to supporting our initiatives in the future. We raised a staggering £62,495.00.  

Our ‘Giving Tree’ serves as a noteworthy indicator, capturing pledges from individuals outlining their intended contributions to the cause. It’s truly a heart-warming experience, witnessing the generosity and support from our community.  

Q: How did your partnership with Hotline unfold, and what factors made us the ideal choice for your promotional items? 

Throughout the year, Hotline.co.uk has been a tremendous support, kindly providing their products for a couple of our event. At each Lucy Rayner Foundation’s Gala Event, it’s our tradition to offer guests a complimentary gift, and we actively seek out companies willing to sponsor these tokens. Hotline proved to be an impeccable match due to their clear communication and generous support, making them the perfect fit for our needs. 

Q: Let’s talk about those awesome promotional items at the event and how they added to the overall vibe of the night! 

Hotline sent us these fantastic, personalised gold pens, and guess what? They were the perfect giveaway for our guests, tying in seamlessly with our ‘Going for Gold’ theme. Not only did they look great on the tables, but they also came in super handy when we asked our guests to fill out those important pledge cards for our Giving Tree. With the pens right there, our guests could easily jot down their pledges without any hassle, ensuring no one missed out on the chance to contribute. 

Q: How did they help boost the event’s buzz and our brand visibility?  

The gold pens created an extra element of luxury on the evening as well as enabling us to tie in the theme even on the table setting.  

Q: How was your experience with Hotline and the ordering process?  

Our experience with hotline, as before, was great! They were so helpful in the order, design and delivery process. We had absolutely no issues and we were incredibly grateful for the clear and efficient communication.

The Lucy Rayner Foundation chose our A2221 Elite Printed metal pen in Gold, and boy, did it fit right in! This stylish aluminium ballpen comes with a shiny lacquer finish and sleek chrome trim. What’s really cool is how those chrome rings are placed on the barrel, giving the pen an expansive print area for that maximum wow factor. We just loved how the Lucy Rayner Foundation logo in the black print on the gold pen really made it stand out!
