In the words of Victor Meldrew ‘I don’t believe it.’ Did Ulrika Johnson really win Celebrity Big Brother? I thought Verne Troyer, the ‘mini me’ star, was the bookies favourite to win. The 41 year old former weather girl won the vote with 57% over rival presenter Terry Christian. She certainly deserves some special promotional gifts being sent her way, as I really didn’t expect her to win the competition. Has Big Brother had its day? With viewer numbers falling, the statistics would suggest so.

Anyone for a runway?

George Bush’s time is up!
It’s time to say goodbye to George Bush as he finally heads off this week to... Umm…retirement? Barack Obama has taken his place in the Whitehouse and many Americans will be welcoming the change. Bush signed over with his promotional pens at midday on Tuesday – will this be another occasion where he will be mixing his words? The Hudson Rivers receives an unexpected visitor!
It was nearly a miracle of 34th Street but not quite, a few blocks away - the Hudson River. So its true miracles really do really happen. The pilot miraculously landed the US airline safely into the Hudson River, New York. The plane lost control when birds flew into the propeller and an emergency landing had to be performed.
