Printed pencils, promotional pencils, neon pencils, bendy pencils, pencils with erasers, multifunction pencils...!! This list could go on for week and weeks. According to statistics around one hundred million pencils are made in the USA alone every year. But you may say to yourself ‘I never use a pencil, I always use pen!’ and you would probably be right but there are thousands of people that use promotional pencils on a regular basis.
Think about your trip to IKEA – pencils are on tap for you to note down your product number, think about schools, art lessons, learning to write, Architects, artists, carpenters even golfers with their golf pencils. Pencils are all around us and they are all personalised. Perhaps a company name or a quirky message, a logo or a small image. The great thing about pencils is that they act as an advertising tool. They carry your message around for you, so you don’t have to do so much of the leg work.
There are many types of pencils to choose from. A personal favourite of mine is the printed mechanical pencil. I love the fact you don’t have to sharpen the nib and you are always presented with a sharp, neat pencil at the click of a button. They are popular because of their longevity and the fact they never need sharpening.
Another type of pencil is the funky plastic pencil. In technical terms these pencils are ‘ a plastercised graphite mixture within a wood composite core!’ In laymen terms they are a long bendy pencil made of plastic with a wooden type exterior. This type of pencil is loved by all kids and is very popular within schools. They are also known as the flexible pencil in some areas.
All pencils can be branded and matched to your corporate colours, so what is stopping you. Check some out today!
